The outgoing generation of the Honda Civic has been a runaway success for the Japanese automaker. Winning major awards such as the 2006 Motor Trend Car of the Year, the current eighth generation is about to be replaced by an all new model. Displayed in concept form at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show last January, Honda made the decision to display what the next generation high-performance Si will look like.
Save for a few minor exterior bits, Honda nearly unveiled the entire car. Comparing it to the current model, it's obvious that Honda stuck to a more evolutionary theme of the current design. We'll have to wait a few more months to see the production model, which should go on sale this summer.
