Aussies display textbook toughness as firefighter truck plunges into deep waters without batting an eyelid.
As charming as Melbourne is, often cited as one of the world's top ten cities to live in, it does suffer terribly from variable weather conditions.
Warm and sunny one minute, torrential rain and hail storms the next, the city 'with four seasons in one day' was hit badly on Christmas Day this year as ferocious storms hit Melbourne and northwest Victoria damaging around 10,000 vehicles and sparking heavy flash floods. Where most vehicles would have struggled and most drivers would have made a fast retreat, hardcore Aussie firefighters simply got on with business, wading through deep waters of a street in a suburb called Eltham in their Isuzu truck. Just another day at the office.
