Citroen has announced three new models for Frankfurt. They will debut in a few weeks.
Citroen is planning three new models to arrive at Germany's premier auto later this month. The French automaker's DS Series just got a bit bigger with the arrival of the new DS5 MPV. The DS3 Ultra Prestige is a special edition for 2012 and adds zest to Citroen's lineup. The third model has been teased by Citroen in a new video, and looks incredibly futuristic. The DS3 Ultra Prestige is a special version that Citroen plans sell exclusively in 2012.
The new model commemorates 100,000 units sold from the past 18 months. The French automaker is being quite coy on the details of the new car in terms of pricing, however they have said that it will sit on 'diamond-burnished' 17-inch tires. A new grille, side skirts and graphic monogram roof set the Ultra Prestige apart from the standard DS3s. It will feature a 150hp 1.6 THP motor or a 110hp 1.6 HDi engine. The DS5 was recently seen in concept form at the Shanghai Motor Show. The new MPV features seating for five and a very spacious luxury interior.
Two new features on the interior include leather seating and a new heads-up display. It is equipped with a combination of 2.0HDi diesel engine combined with an electric motor. The Sales are scheduled to begin towards the end of this year after it makes its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The futuristic concept has had very few details surface, however Citroen did release a neat little teaser video of the new ride's interior. You can clearly see the high tech dash and steering wheel along with the wicked black and neon red seats.
