Ferrari has put out a new video to demonstrate the value of F1 technology on their road cars.
Ferrari seems to be getting tired of people complaining about the abundance of computers on their cars. They have now put out a video depicting a race between the 599 GTB Fiorano and the old F40, probably the best of all Ferraris to come along before computers completely took over. The video is intended to show how computers and F1-derived technology has made the cars faster, even when cars like the 599 aren't as track focused as the F40.
It certainly is true that the 599 is faster than the F40, but if, in the 19 years since Ferrari stopped building the F40, they hadn't managed to make their cars faster, it would be a problem.
