Paris is renowned for a city in which the drivers do whatever it takes to fit into a parking space, with bumping the cars either side of the space common practice. To promote their Active Park Assist system, Ford Europe went to elaborate lengths to find the worst driver in a certain area of the capital. A giant pinball was installed over a free parking space, and the bumpers of the front and rear cars were programmed to act as pinball bumpers. The more the bumpers were hit by the driver, the higher their score.

The 'winner,' i.e. the worst driver, was then given the chance to check out the automatic parking system that features in the new Ford Focus.
