Video: New Ice Speed Record with Audi

You may remember that a little while ago we reported on the Bentley Ice Speed Record. It was then that Bentley used a Continental Supersports Convertible to race across a stretch of ice last month at a mind boggling speed of 205 miles per hour. The newest development in the bid to break this record comes with the aid of Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 studded tires fitted onto an Audi RS6.

Thanks to these new gippy rubber tires and some aerodynamic modifications, the Audi was able to pull off a new record at 206.05 mph. The Nokian team has previously set an Ice Speed Record using its Hakkapeliitta 5 tires, but they had used a Bentley that time.
