Video: Nissan Hi-Cross Concept is the New X-Trail for Geneva

Nissan has just announced another big debut for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Nissan has just released a teaser image and video showing off their latest concept for the 2012 Geneva Auto Show. The Hi-Cross concept is the pre-production version of the Japanese automaker's next generation X-Trail.

Nissan was feeling a bit cocky during their press release, calling themselves the "undisputed leader in the crossover segment." The Hi-Cross concept features a sleek design and from the teaser image we can see some pronounced wheel arches. It could run on a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a slew of smaller diesels also available. The production-spec version of the Hi-Cross concept is expected to be unveiled in roughly a years' time, with sales predicted to begin around fall 2013. It will join the much-anticipated Invitation concept on the Geneva Motor Show floor. The Swiss show opens on March 6th.
