Video: Nissan Pathfinder Goes Cold Weather Testing

Video / 8 Comments

Set to launch in the fall, the next-generation Pathfinder demonstrates its cold weather off-roading capabilities.

Last seen in Detroit as a concept model, the 2013 Pathfinder was recently taken for a series of tests in Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming.

The promotional video sees the crossover go off-road and take on snowy terrain as it endures 1500 miles of blizzards, creeks, mud and cold weather en route from Colorado to Alaska. Although the new model is "a departure from the previous Pathfinder [it] did very well off-road," according to Senior Product Planner Adam O'Shaughnessy. As previously reported the new eight-passenger 2013 Pathfinder, which has returned to a unibody platform, will hit showrooms this fall and take on the Dodge Durango, Toyota Highlander and the like in the SUV market.
