The Peugeot RCZ Racecar is fast and affordable.
We've recently seen racing models from several big brands such as the BMW M3 GT and the 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 R. Over the last few days we have just seen another big name show off their latest racer, Peugeot's RCZ Racecar. The Peugeot RCZ Racecar is roughly the same car as the production version, however the French have given the car some weight saving measures. It saves roughly 550lbs and can churn out over 250hp. It is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
The engine was tweaked to put out 50 extra horsepower and is coupled with a 6-speed sequential transmission. Peugeot developed their RCZ racer for the Albi Circuit's Customer Competition Cup, taking place next year in France. It costs a cool €54,900 and is actually one of the more affordable racecars available for purchase in Europe.
