Video: Renault Sport Megane 265 Trophy Vs. Nissan 370Z by Fifth Gear

Can the French hot-hatch compete with the Japanese sports car?

Having recently lapped the Nurburgring quicker than any front wheel drive road car ever, rally star and stunt driver in new Bond movie Mark Higgins helps Fifth Gear's Tiff Needell test whether the Renault Sport Megane 265 can be faster and more fun than a proper GT car. The Renault hot-hatch has a turbocharged 2.0-liter 261hp engine, which is 63hp less than the 3.7-liter V6 Nissan, capable of 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds.

Surely a 2-seat RWD GT car can see off a FWD 4-seat hot-hatch? Bear in mind this is a test in the wet before placing any bets.
