SSC has taken their brand-new Tuatara to China for its first public debut.
Shelby SuperCars is continuing with the launch of their newest supercar and they have just unveiled it for the first time publicly in China. They are using their new fastest production car in the world record holder to enter new markets. SSC has just opened their first distribution office in Shanghai, China appropriately dubbed SSC Asia and they hope to expand further to take advantage of the world's foremost growing markets.
"Announcing our products here in Shanghai for the Asia region is yet another one of those dreams realized for SSC," said Shelby SuperCars CEO Jarod Shelby in China.
The Tuatara made its premier appearance at the Chinese opening to ensure huge crowds would gather to see the new speed demon. The Tuatara packs a twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V8 with an output pushing 1,350hp. Shelby's latest creation is built almost exclusively out of carbon fiber and can hit a top speed of 275mph. No pricing or availability information has been released as of yet for the impressive Tuatara.
