Someone needs to keep those crazy Swedish police officers in line.
Now, when we think of a Volvo station wagon, the first thing that comes to mind is an overbearing, safety conscious soccer mom behind the wheel. But that's in the U.S. In other parts of the world (Europe), Volvo wagons are popular police vehicles. Instead of a V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive Crown Vic, Europe's finest do their utmost to intimidate criminals in a Volvo. Yeah, we normally wouldn't be too impressed either.
However, this new video shows what one Swedish police officer can do behind the wheel of what's considered to be the safest automaker. Sweden doesn't exactly have high crime rates either.
The murder rate is low when compared to other western countries, but bike theft is quite high. So there's that. But still, it's good to know that at least one Swedish police officer knows how to maneuver a Volvo if the situation ever calls for it. Those crazy Swedes.
