Following our story last week where we reported on a Honda factory in Thailand being submerged in floodwater, we have stumbled upon this video taken by a local resident highlighting the people's panic about the safety of their cars. In response to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra ordering certain residents to seek higher ground, Bangkokians have begun to park their vehicles on the capital's elevated expressways giving the city an eerie post-apocalyptic feel.

The Thai government has started to open the floodgates that have hitherto been protecting the capital in order to reduce pressure on the country's dams and levees, and this video proves that Thais really love their cars.
