Video: The Assembly of a Miniature V12 Engine

Offbeat

This is truly a piece of art for the proper gearhead.

For whatever reason, someone with great skill chose to construct a miniature V12 engine out of stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze. The end product actually works, as it runs off of compressed air and has a displacement of 12 cubic centimeters. Quite impressive. Yes, it is nearly 10 minutes long, but once you start watching, it's actually kind of hard to stop. And with the background music going, it kind of gives you a stronger sense of the heart and passion that went into this project.

What exactly you'd do with the finished mini V12 is anybody's guess, but it'll undoubtedly look great and make a good conversation piece on a desk or coffee table. Hey, we all have our hobbies.
