The video short that's been making the rounds on the internet lately to promote the Need for Speed game series has gathered a share of fans - us included. For those who haven't had a chance to see the video, be sure to check it out at the end of this article before you go to bed tonight...it's that awesome. Now the behind-the-scenes story is being told of that iconic chase between a Pagani Zonda Cinque and a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.
The extremely realistic graphics were accomplished by using real photography with the actual cars. It was filmed on a mountain pass in the Italian Alps called the Passo di Falzarego using a Cineflex camera. Directed by Robert Eder (who also did the official video for the Zonda R), it was produced by Runimation Studios. Although only five of them exist, the producers weren't able to get a hold of a Zonda Cinque for the filming, so Pagani provided a prototype Cinque they currently had in development.
Professional stunt drivers Marc Hennerici and Marc Basseng were hired to drive the Murcielago and Zonda, respectively.
