Earlier in the day we brought you the first (possible) photo of the new 2013 SRT Viper and now we have some footage of the Viper ACR-X racing spec model giving the Green Hell a real run for its money. The ACR-X clocked in with a fast 7:03.
A few months ago, the SRT Viper wrangled the lap record for production cars away from the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition with an impressive time of 7:12.13. The official time for the ACR-X was a blistering 7:03.058. The Viper ACR-X packs a 8.4-liter V10 engine delivering a total of 640hp - a boost of 40hp above the standard model. The model is also 160 lbs lighter than the standard thanks to weight-cutting measures. It comes equipped with racing gear, like a roll cage, single racing bucket seat, Momo Corse steering wheel and self sealing fuel cell.
