Vin Diesel Just Confirmed A Ton Of New Fast and Furious Films

Update

He also talked directors, as in more than one.

Say what you will about Vin Diesel, but the man cares about his fans. He is constantly updating them on the progress of the Fast and Furious franchise over social media. He announced the next film’s setting and release date over Twitter and now a recent Facebook post by the actor confirms that there will be another three films in total. “Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga.”

So we get another three films, which means the series has yet another chance to reinvent itself. The next film takes place in New York City and as dumb as the series has gotten we really can’t wait to see what Diesel and the stunt coordinators cook up next. In addition to talking more films, the actor/producer also (kind of) addressed the rumors that the next film in the series is having trouble finding a director because its biggest star is a pain in the ass to work with. “My producing partner Neal would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled. To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet... let alone seen a script.”

There you have it, folks. Diesel signed off by saying that the "directors" would be announced on his next Facebook post. Does that mean that all three films will have different directors or that there will be two directors for the next movie? Will Vin Diesel just succumb to the inevitable and direct the next three films?! Let us know what you think will/should happen in the comments.
