In the automotive world, few names excite more than Ferrari. This legendary supercar manufacturer is still at the top of its game, and is developing some seriously impressive and expensive cars. Classic Ferraris are selling for record prices at auction, and even Ferrari accessories are fetching massive prices. But what if you can't afford a brand new Daytona SP3? Some Ferrari fans who can't afford the real deal sometimes settle for Ferrari memorabilia and odds and ends, and this listing on Bring A Trailer is the perfect example of how far fans will go to own a piece of the Prancing Horse.

For a much more manageable $16,900 - still more than a new Chevrolet Spark, mind you - a buyer got their hands on a range of old Ferrari paint and upholstery samples ranging from the 1960s through to the 1990s. The samples featured interior materials and exterior paint colors, and should be the perfect addition to any Ferrari collector's man cave. The exterior booklets and sample palettes feature Ferrari factory paint colors with their corresponding names written on the back. We love the range of 1960's and 70's colors, but the leather booklets are even better. The leather sample booklets feature a number of different shades and types of leather, and there's even a carpet sample book that also features color options. The oldest of the bunch is the Scaglietti paint sample booklet, and the Connolly leather sampler, both of which date back to the 1960s.

The history runs even deeper when you notice the A.E. Lorioli Milano enamel key fob and brass dealership badge with the inscription "Chinetti International Motors, Greenwich, Connecticut." Luigi Chinetti was the first factory agent in the US, making this collection even more valuable. It should be mentioned that for the price of a few pieces of paper, strips of leather, and a key chain, you could get yourself something that looks like a Ferrari, and actually drives, but we get it; at this level, people don't mind dropping 16k on memorabilia if the right name is attached to it.
