As our friends at Motor Trend pointed out recently, there are some striking similarities between the new SRT Viper and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. From their layout and output to their performance and price, the two could hardly have come out any closer. But the question on the minds of showboaters around the world is, which does a better burnout? For that we turn to Edmunds, which has taken the Viper and the ZR1 to Willow Springs for the seventh installment of its Burnout Super Test series.

As Edmunds video host Josh Jacquot points out, the rules couldn't be any simpler: redline the engine in neutral, drop the clutch and see how long a strip of rubber you can leave on the tarmac.
