When VW unveiled the brand-new Golf R, we were particularly underwhelmed by the measly four images the carmaker provided. With a few days before the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors for the 65th time, we now have a full set of images of the 296-hp flagship model and a promotional video to share. These include a first look at the Golf R's cabin that's been finished with black/grey sport seats finished in Alcantara and "Race" fabric, "Carbon Touch" trim, ambience lighting and R design instruments.

To recap, motivation comes from a 2.0-liter turbo-four that when sends power to all four wheels via the six-speed automatic dual-clutch DSG box enables the hot-hatch to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds. The 2014 VW Golf R will hit European showrooms later this year priced from 38,325 Euros in Germany.
