With stay-at-home orders starting to lift across America, many car owners are planning their next road trip. If you own a Volkswagen Atlas, VW has revealed a range of accessories that can enhance family road trips and vacations.

To improve the in-car entertainment experience, rear-seat passengers can store their device in an available universal tablet holder for hands-free entertainment. Up to four 4G LTE compatible devices can be connected simultaneously using VW's Car-Net Hotspot.

VW's 'Muddy Buddy' Floor and Trunk Liners protect the interior carpet in the front, back and sides of the footwell from mud and dirt, while a Cargo Liner helps protect the cargo area. Thanks to a skid-resistant finish, the liner can also prevent items from moving while on the road.

Also sold separately is a four-piece CargoTech Cargo Containment System that adds strong plastic blocks to stop items from rolling around in the cargo area. Luggage and other items can be hidden using an available retractable privacy cover and personal items can be stored securely in VW's available Security Console Safe made by Tuffy.

If you want to carry bikes, two Thule hitch mounting options are available for the Atlas including a platform hitch bike rack that can carry up to two bikes. Another hitch-mounted hanging rack can carry up to four bikes. When towing a trailer, the Atlas can handle up to 5,000 pounds on a factory-installed hitch.

Roof-mounted cargo boxes and cargo baskets offer additional transportation options, while carrier attachments allow skis, snowboards, surfboards, bikes or a kayak to be stored on the roof. If the standard cargo space isn't large enough for luggage, camping gear, or other cargo, an Urban Loader attachment adds up to 17.7 cubic feet of space and a 110-pound maximum load capacity.

Alternatively, an available Cargo Box Carrier adds 12 cubic feet of space and offers the same load capacity. Its aerodynamic design can also help reduce wind noise during extended road trips. If you want to enhance the crossover's capability, Volkswagen also offers off-road accessories for the Atlas inspired by the rugged Basecamp Concept.
