Is it just us, or does every German-made SUV seem to be getting the aftermarket tuning treatment lately? Everything from BMW's X5 to the Porsche Cayenne are finding themselves in tuner's garages for what seems to be an endless addiction of alloy wheels and side skirts. With that, ABT Sportsline has introduced their newly tuned Volkswagen Touareg. Equipped with the tuner's own technology, it features a new grille, revised side skirts, rear apron, and a huge roof spoiler.

There's also a new sport exhaust system and 22-inch alloy wheels. ABT has also completed performance upgrades for the Touareg's three diesel engines: the 3.0-liter TDI V6 is boosted to either 278 hp or 305 hp, from a standard output of 236 hp. The 4.2-liter TDI V8 is boosted to nearly 380 hp, which is up from 335 hp. Final pricing for these engine upgrades has not been released. In the end, however, considering opting for the Touareg's corporate cousin, the Porsche Cayenne if you must have a high-powered German SUV.
