Volvo Builds C30 Black Design for Italy

Now that Volvo has been sold by Ford to Chinese automaker Geely, the brand appears to be putting a greater emphasis in marketing their cars to a European audience. In what may begin to be a series of special editions, Volvo has just released pictures of the Italian market only C30 Black Design. With a limited run of 600 units, the C30 Black Design has been customized with a carbon-like look on the roof, side pillars, grille, and side mirrors.

In addition, there are also now 17-inch wheels painted in a matte black (18-inchers are optional) along with unique upholstery, special LED daytime running lamps, and a rear parcel shelf. Optional exterior colors will be limited to white, orange, and gray, each with the aforementioned carbon-like touches. It's equipped with either a 1.5 (115 hp) or 2.0-liter diesel (150 hp) engine or a 2.0-liter 145 hp gasoline engine. Pricing will be between €19,600 and €23,300 and is expected go on sale shortly.
