Full reveal slated for this August.
Previewed in concept form in Detroit before being spied in prototype guise, Volvo has now revealed the interior of the all-new XC90 ahead of the SUV’s full reveal in August. Volvo claims this is the most luxurious interior it has ever designed, combining soft leather with wood trim and aluminum inserts, replacing buttons with a tablet-style touchscreen display and fitting a fully-digital instrument cluster.
Swedish glass maker Orrefors created the crystal-glass gear lever, while drivers will use diamond-cut controls for the volume and start/stop. The 2015 Volvo XC90 will be offered with a seven-seat configuration, and come with a four-zone climate control system, cutting-edge voice recognition and Apple’s CarPlay. Volvo will reveal the next-gen XC90 in August.
