Volvo Reveals Sporty XC90 R-Design

Reveal

Some nice upgrades here, all of them cosmetic.

After revealing the all-new XC90, Volvo put 1,927 individually-numbered black First Edition models up for sale exclusively online. They sold out in 47 hours. For those that missed out, the Swedish carmaker has introduced the R-Design variant of new-gen SUV. With a sportier, more aggressive look, the XC90 R-Design comes with a new grille, front spoiler, integrated twin exhausts, silver roof rails, silver matte mirror covers, silk metal window surround, and a set of unique 20-inch alloys.

Inside, the R-Design model is fitted with Contour sport seats, a perforated leather steering wheel and gearshift knob, paddle shifters, and illuminated tread plates. Volvo explains the sports-inspired XC90 R-Design will sit between the entry-level Momentum model and the richly-equipped luxurious Inscription model. Available to order from October, deliveries of the 2015 Volvo XC90 R-Design will start in May.
