Just a couple of weeks before the Geneva Motor Show kicks off, Volvo has leaked its new special edition wagons - the Ocean Race V70 and XC70. These two models mark the around-the-world yacht race sponsored by Volvo in 2014-15, and add a special race logo, an infotainment display, new front fenders and seven-spoke wheels. With only 60 cars to be made, they will also include a map of the race route in the rear trunk area. Volvo hasn't noted performance upgrades expected for these models.

The Ocean Race models join several other special edition Volvos planned for unveiling in Geneva - including the oddly-named 'Edition' V70 and XC70, as well as Ocean Race Editions of the V40, V40 Cross Country, V60 and XC60. They also follow the recent debuts of the S60 and V60 Polestar performance editions at the Chicago Auto Show, and the stunning Volvo Concept XC Coupe in Detroit. This plethora of new models is part of Volvo's efforts to revive its brand image, leading up to the upcoming unveiling of new models like the XC90 SUV.
