Volvo may not be the first name in motorsports, but the Swedish automaker has a rich racing history. Particularly in European touring cars. And to tap into that legacy, Volvo has revealed this competition-ready V60 Racing wagon at Brazil's Sao Paulo Auto Show. Its livery celebrates the Volvo 850 station wagon that challenged the 1994 British Touring Car Championship. Power comes from a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder T5 that sends 250 hp through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and 18-inch alloys wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.

Volvo decked out the cabin with a three-spoke steering wheel, welded roll cage and bucket seats for driver and co-pilot. Despite its track focus, Volvo kept the V60's touchscreen infotainment system and climate control unit, leaving us to ponder the car's true orientation. The V60 Racing is set to participate in several racing events in 2013, including the Brasileiro de Marcas touring car championship. More technical details and performance specs should be revealed closer to the car's racing debut.
