Latest spy shots of a V60 Polestar prototype have us hoping it’s US-bound.
Wearing the same Rebel Blue paint scheme as the limited-edition S60 Polestar Volvo unleashed Down Under, the V60 prototype that was recently spied lapping the Nurburgring is undoubtedly the handiwork of the Swedish carmaker’s crazy Polestar engineers. The sporty wagon, which boasts a more aggressive front end complete with lip spoiler is joined by huge, sporty alloys housing Brembo brakes, a rear diffuser panel and roof spoiler.
Like the sedan, the V60 Polestar will almost certainly be powered by a tuned 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder unit that sends around 350 horsepower to the ground via an all-wheel-drive system. No word on whether this will be another limited-edition project, or something for a range of worldwide markets. Volvo plans to bring the V60 to the US early next year, so a Polestar variant arriving shortly thereafter would be very welcome news indeed.
