VW tuning specialist ABT Sportsline has revealed a comprehensive aftermarket program for the Beetle Cabriolet. Exterior mods for the drop-top Bug include a restyled front spoiler, body-colored headlight covers, and redesigned rear panel and skirt set. Alloys, ranging from 18 to 20 inches in size, such as the DR gun-metal rims, are matched with custom suspension springs that lowers the convertible by 30 mm at the front and 35 mm at the back.

Other chassis enhancements include a two-pipe muffler and high-performance brakes with black calipers. Upgrades have also been made underhood, with the 1.2 TSI boosted to 140 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque; the 1.4 TSI upped to 210 hp and 206 lb-ft; and the 2.0 TFSI increased to 240 hp and 251 lb-ft. The uprated version of the same engine can also be tuned to generate 260 hp and 258 lb-ft.
