The coolest concept in Beijing has been green-lit for production.

Just days after revealing the awesome Golf R 400 Concept at the Beijing Motor Show, Volkswagen has announced the 395-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four powered super-hatch will enter production. That wonderful news comes from Car and Driver who received confirmation directly from VW’s R&D boss Heinz-Jakob Neusser. Whether the model comes to the US remains to be seen, but the upgraded engine that develops 290 hp in the US-spec Golf R could also make its way to certain Audi models.
