German tuner gives limited run model a substantial power boost.
The Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street was built to mark the carmaker's return to WRC, and came packing a 2.0-liter turbo four good for 217 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Although the limited edition hot hatch is no slouch, German tuner B&B decided to turn up the heat even further. It offers a range of power tunes, the most potent being the 7,950-Euro stage 3 kit that boosts output to a massive 362 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque.
A high-pressure fuel pump, modified air suction system, and custom sports exhaust helped to achieve all that extra juice, as did a high-performance air cooler, new oil cooling system and engine management systems. The B&B Polo R WRC Street is now good for a 5.2-second 0-62 mph time, 0-124 mph is clocked in 17.1 seconds, and top speed jumps from 151 to 168 mph. Visual upgrades are limited to lightweight 18-inch alloys, while the chassis receives enhancements in the form of a coilover kit, sports springs and high-performance brakes.
