The new Golf R may not be ready quite yet, but in the meantime Volkswagen R GmbH is offering these R-Line packages to give the new Golf the look and feel of something hotter.
Though the new Volkswagen Golf is out, along with its GTI variant, enthusiasts and buyers looking forward to the new Golf R will have to wait. But to keep sport-minded customers happy, and to give us a sneak peek at what the anticipated 300-horsepower hot hatch will look like, VW has released this new R-Line packages for the stock Golf. Rolled out in time for the Worthersee festival, the new Golf's R-Line packages include an exterior body kit, an interior upgrade kit and a sport suspension, each available separately.
The exterior pack includes new front and rear bumpers, side sills, rear spoiler and diffuser, fog lights, gloss black grille. The interior offers Race cloth seats, aluminum trim, stainless door sills and pedals, black headliner, ambient lighting, a multi-function steering wheel and a unique shifter. The final sport package includes an upgraded suspension and steering rack along with tinted windows, plus there are new 17- and 18-inch wheels available. Of course each package also incorporates special R badges, but is so far announced only for Germany.
