Although it's not sold in North America, the current Volkswagen Scirocco is something many fans of the brand would like to see make its way across the pond. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that will be happening but the sleek three-door hatchback continues to do well overseas. As such, VW is celebrating the car's one million unit production milestone with a special edition model for Germany and China only. The Scirocco Million will be offered solely in black along with R-Line bumpers, side sills, smoked taillights and "Million" stickers on the wings and tinted windows.

The interior is covered in black leather upholstery with orange contrast stitching along with "Million" decals on the door sills. The original VW Scirocco was launched back in 1974 and was sold in the US starting in 1975. The second-gen model was also sold in the US until 1988 (1992 for Europe) but when the current third-gen model was unveiled in 2008, it was destined for Europe and other overseas markets only. A total of 795,650 Mk 1 and II Siroccos were built and more than 204,350 people have bought the Mk III so far.
