We just can't seem to get a final answer on this.
The LFA was just the beginning of a new era of Lexus sports cars. The new V8-powered RC F is proof. There are also strong indications that a production version of the LF-LC Concept is on its way. That's great, but what many are really clamoring for is an LFA successor. Just a few weeks ago, Lexus Vice President Mark Templin stated the following: "Akio (Toyoda) believes that every generation deserves to have a car like an LFA, so we're building an LFA for the generation we have today."
Sounds great and we were thrilled to hear that. However, RC F chief engineer, Yukihiko Yaguchi recently told Australia's Car Advice that there are currently no plans for an LFA replacement."LFA was certainly a special sports car for us to build as well, but we don't have any plans right now (for a successor) and it will take a little bit of time to come up with say another one, but it will certainly mean a lot to build a super exotic sports car," Yaguchi stated. That sounds pretty vague to us and it's far from an official confirmation. Our guess is that Toyota and Lexus management simply haven't made a final decision yet. Let's hope for the best here.
