This may look like nothing more than a simple BMW 1 Series three-door hatchback. And maybe that's precisely the point, to look ordinary. But it's not. Not anywhere near close. Leave it to Zee Germans to take something from their home turf and inject it with plenty of steroids. That's precisely what German tuning house AC Schnitzer did here. Makings its official premiere right now at the 2015 Essen Motor Show is the 150d. It's powered by the tri-turbo 3.0-liter diesel six-cylinder found in the M550d.

That means a total of 395 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Yes. 590 lb-ft. Do a quick check and you'll discover that's 70 lb-ft more than the Ferrari F12tdf, and 75 lb-ft more than the McLaren 675LT. And aside from larger alloy wheels, a lowered suspension, front apron, a rear spoiler, and side skirts, this uber hot hatch doesn't really look like much. Appearances can be deceiving. AC Schnitzer claims it'll go from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and 50 to 112 mph in just 7.9 seconds. Interior tweaks include metallic accents, unique floor mats, aluminum pedals, and a custom gear knob. No word on pricing but, like we said, the 150d isn't ordinary. It's pure torque madness.
