Just the other day we let you in on the new Honda / Acura carbon fiber-bodied. GT3 track car that's based on the sexy new NSX body. The racecar looks properly intimidating, but you can still see the streetcar under all of those canards and aero accessories. The powertrain for the GT3 racer was a bit of a surprise though; it doesn't use the twin-turbocharged V6 and triple stack of electric motors, but rather a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 590 horsepower on tap, and setup to comply with the race series rules.

The lightweight GT3 car also dumped the all-wheel drive and is now instead a rear-wheel-drive racer. With the wide tires and trick suspension, the handling still rocks.

To show off this new NSX GT, Honda Japan threw together a (too) short video of the car in action. The setup and preparation in the pits shows a fully functional race team getting a really good-looking car ready to hurt the competition in the Super GT class at the Autopolis International Racing Circuit in Japan. At least this time we get almost a full minute of action, as opposed to the first teaser video we saw that was just 16 seconds long. Luckily there should be more to come soon as this video was the first episode of a series of movies that will chronicle the development of the Honda / Acura NSX GT. When they surface on the interwebs, we'll make sure to share them with you first.
