Automakers in the US have a tendency to run special incentive programs for those who serve the country in the military, but normally, it's just a discount or special financing option to reward them for their service. However, every once in a while, something special is built for those who serve us so bravely. The 2018 Petty's Garage Warrior Mustang was one such car. Only eight were built in total, with four made as 2018 year models. These 675-horsepower machines were produced in partnership with NASCAR legend, Richard Petty, and were only for sale to military personnel serving overseas. Now, one has come up for sale on Mecum auctions. Get your checkbooks ready.

Based on the 2018 Mustang GT, an Edelbrock TVS 2650 supercharger was strapped on to bring outputs from the 5.0-liter V8 to 675 hp and 540 lb-ft of torque - increases of 215 hp and 120 lb-ft over stock. A Level 5 Axle Upgrade from GeForce enabled all the power to be routed to the tarmac, and buyers could choose from either manual or automatic transmissions. This particular model was specced with the six-speed stickshift and was finished in Shadow Black with Petty Blue detailing.

This particular pony car was also the extensively equipped Level 2 version, meaning it added a host of visual cues inside and out to set it apart from others. Petty's Garage installed a rear spoiler, upper and lower mesh grilles, Warrior "Over-the-Top" racing stripes, a Petty's Garage grille badge, rear badge, and window etching. It also got a custom Warrior leather interior, Warrior embroidered front floor mats, a shift ball in Petty Blue, and Richard Petty himself autographed the dash plaque.

The listing doesn't give many details as to the mileage, condition, or other details of the car, but it's coming up for auction as lot F101 at Mecum's Las Vegas 2020 event happening from November 13-14.
