We've seen modified Lamborghini Huracans set insane half-mile speed records in the past, but we've been wondering if the supercar can also dominate the drag strip. At a recent Florida drag racing event, Dallas Performance brought its extensively tuned Lamborghini Huracan out for some testing runs to see how fast it can conquer the quarter-mile. This is allegedly the same car that holds the Huracan half-mile top speed record of 208.2 mph.

Dallas Performance's Stage Three kit adds new cylinder heads, cams, and massive turbos to increase the Huracan's power output to an earth-shattering 2000 horsepower. While the car was built for half-mile runs, Dallas Performance has added 18-inch drag radials for its debut at the drag strip. YouTube channel That Racing Channel was at the event to record the Huracan take on rival cars such as the R35 Nissan GT-R, which is renowned for smashing quarter-mile records.

Incredibly, the Huracan managed to set a mind-boggling quick quarter-mile time of 7.916 seconds at 186 mph. To give you an idea of how insanely fast this car accelerates, 0-60 mph took just 1.8 seconds. From there, 60 mph to 130 mph took only 2.6 seconds. Even more impressively, 100 mph to 150 mph took 2.29 seconds. At long last, the Nissan GT-R has finally been dethroned as the king of the drag strip.
