Sure, a 700-horsepower BMW M5 is a heck of a lot of car with a heck of a lot of power, but do you really need to show it off while racing Nissan GT-Rs, Porsches, Corvettes and a 650 horsepower Donkey Tec Mk2 Golf? Why of course you do. Well we would anyway, and not just because it looks like a whole lot of fun, but because whipping asses is something that gets quite addictive. The kill list this BMW racks up at this event is quite impressive, bar room talk for months. We're sure many a bet was settled that day.

Interesting is that we see another turbocharged Mk2 having some fun on a strip, and out of all the cars that raced the M5, we reckon the Golf race was closest.

We'd love to know what's been done to the BMW M5, because in stock form it has a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 making 553 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque that takes it to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. It also uses a lightning fast seven-speed DCT transmission, handy in a drag race. Gumbal claims it has 700 hp which is believable seeing how it runs, but a comment on the video says it has a "stock exhaust with catless downpipes." If that's all it takes to pick up around 150 horses we reckon there would be cats (from exhaust systems, not actual kitties) littering scrapyards all over the place. We can't pick a favorite race from the video, but the Mk2 Golf definitely made an impression.
