By a German guy wearing overalls, no less.
Porsche felt it necessary to introduce an even more exclusive version of the 911 Turbo S, more than appropriately called the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. It’s based on the potent 580 hp Turbo S, but its 3.8-liter turbocharged flat-six has been tuned to produce 607 hp because, well, Porsche is capable of doing just that. But really, that’s just 27 more ponies, and for something that only begins at $292,553 (just $647 less than a new 911 GT2 RS), what else do buyers get? First off, the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is just that: exclusive, limited to just 500 models.
Then there’s the absolutely stunning Gold Yellow Metallic exterior paint that’s accented by a carbon finish on the hood, roof, side skirts. Combined with the unique 20-inch wheels at the four corners, this thing is quite a looker. But it’s the interior where even more unique touches can be selected by buyers, for a price of course.
This newly released video from Porsche shows that very end process as a Zuffenhausen factory worker intricately and carefully finishes 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series 000/500 by hand. Few automakers could get away with releasing a video showing a guy in overalls sticking some badges to a car, but Porsche isn’t just any automaker. And that’s essentially the point of the video.
