With the help of modern tuning methods, cars have never been faster, and zero to sixty times have been falling at a drastic rate. Front-wheel-drive cars have managed to slip into the five-second range, but rear-wheel- and all-wheel-drive cars are where it's at for blistering sprint times. Case in point is the Audi TT RS which will rip your face off from a standing start. The Audi RS division is well known for its insane acceleration, and even mildly-tuned versions will blow the doors off of much more exotic machines, and the car pictured below is one of the fastest around. This car, racing out of Germany, can be seen bolting off the line with insane amounts of grip and poise, laying down insane drag times quicker than 10 seconds.

Powering the stock Audi TT RS is the famous 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which produces 394 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The car featured in the video is a whole different kettle of fish, however, and has been boosted to 800 hp. The boost in power means that while the standard TT RS sprints from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 155 mph, this modified one will hit 62 mph in 2.87 seconds and top out at over 174 mph.

It is not clear what modifications have taken place under the hood, but purely by listening to its exhaust note, it is clear that this thing has seen some extensive work. At the starting line, the car enters launch mode, and it is immediately obvious that it launches from well beyond the stock 3,500 rpm limit. The car easily lights up all four wheels as it barrels down the strip, and the numbers it reaches are truly astonishing: the 0-62 mph sprint takes only 2.87 seconds, 62-124 mph takes 4.33 seconds, and 0-124 mph takes only 7.2 seconds. The quarter-mile is dispatched in 9.85 seconds. With no body modifications, this TT RS might just be the ultimate sleeper.
