Black Rifle Coffee Company has teamed up with eight-time off-road racing champion and BRCC ambassador B.J. Baldwin in a new film called Recoil Reloaded: Sand & Sky. The film sees his 900-horsepower trophy truck go up against his personal 2019 991.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S in a battle for supremacy that takes both cars to high speeds on and off the road.

"Yes, we took the Porsche into the desert, and it was frickin' awesome," said Baldwin, who created the YouTube series following the success of the late Ken Block's Gymkhana series. Hoonigan's links to Black Rifle are also evident in the feel-good veteran-honoring film it released in November last year with Travis Pastrana.

The premise of the video is that Black Rifle Coffee Company owner Mat Best is driving with Baldwin in the Turbo S through El Centro, California, at speeds north of 100 mph as they attempt to catch a thief that has made off with a load of precious java. In a Fast and Furious-style move, this action sequence sees the 911 slide under an 18-wheeler before Baldwin's Best in the Desert Trophy Truck Championship 2022 winner hoves into view with an anonymous driver behind the wheel. This driver is also chasing the stolen coffee, and each is willing to perform ridiculous moves to get there first. The trophy truck even jumps over a train, reaching a height of three stories and almost flying the length of a football field.

When the stolen coffee truck is finally found in the dunes of Glamis, the trophy truck driver reveals himself to be Baldwin. Again. The idea is that this film will leave viewers with one impression: Black Rifle's new brew is so powerful that "drinking it makes you feel like there are two of you." We're not sure we'd want to double our resting heart rate, but hopefully, the black gold is not quite that strong.

This is the first Hoonigan-style big film of the year. Thankfully, it won't be the last. Hoonigan still has big plans, and we're pretty sure Black Rifle Coffee Company does too. We look forward to seeing just what those are.
