The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the biggest blockbuster movie franchises, so it's no surprise that automakers have been cashing in on its success with product placement deals.

We've seen Tony Stark drive an Audi e-tron GT concept in 'Avengers: Endgame,' Black Panther get behind the wheel of a Lexus LC 500, and Captain Marvel drive a Nissan Z Proto in a commercial. Now, it looks like BMW will supply cars for future Marvel movies instead of Audi. A new clip from the long-delayed 'Black Widow' movie starring Scarlett Johansson has been released previewing the film's car chase scene featuring a BMW X3 M40i.

In the clip, Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow) and her sister Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh use the BMW X3 to escape from a gun-wielding female assassin chasing them on a motorcycle.

The BMW X3 takes a battering as it smashes into parked cars and gets riddled with bullets. But thanks to the magic of movie editing, these scars magically disappear in subsequent shots. At the end of the clip, Belova takes over the wheel and kicks open the door, which hits a sign and takes out the assassin. Admittedly, a BMW X3 wouldn't be our choice of car to feature in a movie chase, but we still get to see Black Widow show off her driving skills as she pulls off a slick reverse 180.

As the full trailer shows, the action quickly escalates as the duo also gets chased by an armored tank that destroys multiple cars in its path, although it can't match the scale of destruction we've seen in Fast & Furious 9 so far. It doesn't look like the BMW X3 survives the scene in one piece either, as one shot shows the SUV flipping into the air and exploding.

Originally slated for release in May 2020 before the pandemic forced theaters to close, 'Black Widow' will open in theaters on July 9, 2021, around a month after 'Fast & Furious 9' hits the big screen.
