Watch Europe's Tiniest Cars Get Utterly Destroyed During Crash Tests

Those poor, poor dummies.

If you're ever in Europe do yourself a favor and never get behind the wheel of or into the passenger seat of a quadricycle. Why? Because these things are designed to explode upon impact. This is a video compilation of the Euro NCAP’s (basically the NHTSA) crash tests for quadricycles. Quadricycles are sort of like Japan’s kei cars in that they are regulated for size, weight and power. One thing they apparently aren’t regulated at all for is safety. The dummies in this video get ruthlessly tossed about no matter the impact location.

The description for this video makes perhaps the understatement of the year, saying “there are still fundamental problems with this segment.” We’d say that’s a polite way of describing these death traps.
