Watch Hennessey’s 751-HP Camaro SS Rocket Past 200 MPH

Tuning

It’s the first sixth-gen Camaro to get past 200 mph.

For high-performance cars, 200 mph has always been the number that differentiates the big boys from the fakers. Hennessey Performance has just let its Chevrolet Camaro HPE600 loose and the incredible muscle car hit 202 mph. Thanks to CNC-ported cylinder heads, a new exhaust system, a new camshaft and valvetrain upgrades, this Camaro puts out 605 hp. But that’s before a shot of nitrous, which boosts performance to 751 hp at the flywheel. That’s more than a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and this thing is naturally aspirated.

The insane amount of power propelled the Camaro to a GPS-verified 202.1 mph at the Continental Tire Proving Ground in Uvalde, TX. This muscle car is extremely fast and sounds like nothing else on the road.
