Did we mention it's wicked fast? Well, it is.
For any car to be labeled special today, it must have certain characteristics that make it stand out from just about anything else on the road. Few brands, even a few more mainstream exotics that we'll leave nameless, regularly produce special anymore. That leaves things to the boutique brands, such as Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, or SCG, founded and run by Jim Glickenhaus. The Glickenhaus SCG003 will be competing in the upcoming VLN races at the Nurburgring and, perhaps one day, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
One of the many things that's really unique about the SC6003 is that its tires simply need to be swapped for track duty. After a day of racing, the owner simply has to ditch the track for street rubber, and head home.
Powered by a Honda-based 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, the slippery and carbon-fiber rich SCG003 can be seen here in onboard footage as it destroys the famed Green Hell. We're told the SCG003 did a full Ring lap in 8:01 without even trying, but it has yet to officially go for a record-setting lap. We wouldn't at all be surprised to learn that it's capable of lapping the Ring in less than seven minutes. For now, enjoy the footage because it's thrilling.
