When a car, especially a Ferrari, was once owned by actor, racer, and speed enthusiast Steve McQueen, you know right away that it's special. McQueen owned many cars and bikes during his career, and some of his favorite brands were Jaguar, Porsche, and Ferrari. And yes, there was also that Mustang Bullitt. He was, after all, the King of Cool. McQueen died at the age of 50 from a rare form of cancer. But he left behind some wonderful toys. One of them is this 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4.

McQueen owned it for four years, and its proceeding owners have thoroughly maintained it. In more recent years, it's had a complete restoration. And now it has a new owner who just paid $9.25 million at RM Auctions. Check out the bidding war in the video ahead. Photos courtesy of RM Auctions
