Definitive proof this is a fast car exists. In abundance. But to slam the point home, DragTimes filmed the reactions of passengers when using the EV's "Insane Mode" launch-control function, unleashing the D's maximum, neck-snapping potential from a standing start.
In terms of its acceleration, Musk said the P85D was benchmarked against the McLaren F1. So don't be surprised to read that both cars are capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds.
