Okay so maybe the eighth-mile drag race is not the most fun that can be had on four wheels, but the funny thing about the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is that even the most mundane of tasks is more fun when sitting behind its wheel. With 840 horsepower on tap and able to launch the Demon past the quarter-mile mark in less than 10 seconds, how can it not be fun to drive? Thing is, this particular Demon isn't running at full tilt like it could be if its owner wanted it to.

With pump 91 octane in the tank, the engine is "only" capable of cranking out a lowly 808 horsepower and sending it to the rear wheels. In this case, that pair of rubber is none other than a set of drag radials meant to keep that power pointed in the direction it's intended to go: towards the horizon.

Thanks to that, the Demon manages to clear those 660 feet in only 6.67 seconds while topping the triple digits with a speed of 102 mph. Put it adjacent to cars like a Challenger Hellcat, a supercharged Camaro SS, and even the Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the competition proves to be no match. Then again, this is a vehicle that can beat a early Bugatti Veyron models in the quarter mile so at least those lucky 3,000 customers will know that they're getting a hypercar in a muscle car body when their Demons are delivered.
