The "family" is back together, and this time there's actually a never-mentioned blood relative making his first appearance in the "Furious" saga. Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) biological brother, Jakob, (John Cena) is not only introduced into the story but also serves as the new movie's villain. Previously teased, the full trailer for F9, as it is officially called, is here and it's full of the usual: fast cars, explosions, and plenty of crazy stunts heavily aided by CG technology.

Oh, and now Dom has a son named Brian with love interest Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Other familiar cast members also return, including Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Charlize Theron. Hellen Mirren also has a mystery role.

Notable absences are the Rock and Jason Statham, the duo who has since starred in their own (highly successful) spinoff. Cena was brought in as a replacement character for both (whose existence was never mentioned before) and recognizable industry name. Sure, we'll bite.

Sounds interesting enough. Look, you don't go to see a Fast Saga movie for its Oscar-winning performances and plot, but rather for sheer entertainment for which they deliver brilliantly. F9 looks no different. Point being, if you dig the previous eight movies, you should be more than satisfied with this one. And, of course, there's typically another surprise plopped into these movies, in this case, the return of Han.

But aside from these "plot twists," perhaps the coolest thing showed (not necessarily the stealth fighter jet with magnets, Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, and Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat) in this trailer is a Pontiac Fiero with a rocket attached to its roof. That's right. A Fiero. Someone on the writing staff knows a good car joke or two. If you can't wait until the May 22 release date in the US, then you should be happy to know you can already buy your tickets now.
